Move accounts without forcing a password reset
User Import & Export can migrate supported Joomla password hashes when an authorised Super User explicitly enables the feature. That makes site-to-site migrations possible without collecting or exposing users' plain-text passwords.
- Explicit password modes prevent accidental password changes
- Supported Joomla hashes are validated before import
- Hash export is disabled by default and requires dedicated permission
- Sensitive values are excluded from job logs and result reports
Security limits built in
Uploads, row counts and column counts are restricted by configurable defaults and non-bypassable hard caps. Spreadsheet formula injection, unsafe uploads and excessive XLSX compression are handled defensively.
Default limits: 20 MB, 50,000 rows and 250 columns.
Built into Frontend UserManager
User Import & Export works as a standalone Joomla component and is also included with every Frontend UserManager subscription.
When both components are installed, import and export open directly from the Frontend UserManager user list and follow its delegated permissions, hidden-group rules and frontend navigation.
